Pulpit MinistryJim T. Middleton has been with Northwest for over 30 years. His knowledge of the Bible and ability to communicate bring God's Word to life in the hearts of those who hear him. Jim is continually expanding his extensive correspondence course that covers most of the Bible, with both topical and book studies available. Youth Ministry Northwest Church of Christ is dedicated to developing young people into productive and active Christians. Don Waters continues to serve in this important ministry. Bible Classes, Nursery & Bible Hour Classes are offered for all ages, from infants through adult. An attended nursery is also provided for families with small children. On Sunday mornings, we offer a Children's worship service that is fully-staffed and takes place during the regular morning assembly. Every activity is designed for fun and growth. Our youth program is out of this world! Foreign EvangelismEach year in October, Northwest Church of Christ holds a special collection to help support many ministers and workers in both native and foreign evangelistic efforts. In addition, the funds help with the creation and distribution of teaching aids for Bible schools around the world. Our supported ministers include: Hjalmar Paredes, Jeff Hatcher, Robert Miranda, Ron Bontrager, Pedro Rodriguez and Alejandro Arango. Rocks Of AgesThe senior adults at Northwest play a vital role in the life of the Church. Our congregation is dedicated to serving them in special ways: fellowship gatherings, visitation program, and special trips keep things lively. Monday Night For The MasterPeriodically throughout the year, members join together on Monday nights to engage in various needed activities and ministries as volunteers. The night always begins with a great meal provided by local members.Sunday Night Discussion GroupsThe first Sunday night of every month, the assembly meets together, and then disperses into several smaller groups. Under the direction of a teacher, each group enters into discussions on various Bible topics. In these discussions, those attending are encouraged to ask questions and make personal comments about the lesson being covered for the night.Thursday Night Bible StudiesBible study groups regularly meet on Thursday nights in various members’ homes. Conducted in a friendly, casual environment. There are two groups, for either English or Spanish language.Spanish-Speaking WorshipOur congregation has a very active Spanish-speaking group in it. First, we meet as one assembly, where prayers for the Lord’s Supper are offered in English and Spanish. After this, there is a separate sermon and period of worship for Spanish in another auditorium in our building complex. |
