At the Northwest Church Of Christ, we maintain spiritual unity with all Christians, regardless of race, national origin, or language differences. We are one body in Christ. Because there is a large group of Hispanic brethren in our congregation who are bilingual, we provide special worship services and Bible classes for anyone who is not yet fluent in the English language.
On Sundays, we all partake of the Lord’s Supper together as one assembly. After this, there is Spanish-speaking worship in another auditorium; including prayer, singing, and a sermon delivered in Spanish. On Wednesday nights, there are separate classes conducted in Spanish. On Thursday nights, several Spanish-speaking brethren have opened their homes to hold smaller classes on Bible topics.
From time-to-time, some of our periods of worship are conducted in a bilingual format, where translation is offered in rotating manner. This is mainly done in order to further exemplify our sharing of fellowship with one another, despite our language barriers.
There are many special ministries and personalized instruction made available to everyone in Spanish. In our congregation, you can always expect a warm welcome and a feeling of inclusion. Jesus Christ died for all people, and we try our very best to proclaim the gospel message in a way that can be understood by everyone. |
